1. for this one, all you have to do is turn the minus sign in front of the 3d into a plus sign and then carry over the minus sign to still be attached to the 3d.

so… -6d + -3d= -9d

2. My guess for this one is B because I don’t know how to minus and divide something simultaneously.

3. I’m nearly positive you are correct. Don’t overthink it. 3 less than a number can only be x-3.

1. Since they both have the same variable, you can just go ahead and solve the problem…

-6-3= -9d

2. I would say “b” because in the middle there are two operation signs (the subtract and divide symbols) and theres really nothing you can do to solve it…

3. Yes, its x-3 … the variable “x” is the unknown number it mentions in the word problem…

Hope this helps. Good luck

1) it wants to know how many d’s there are and how many numbers there are.

2) B is the answer. it would be correct if the ‘minus’ sign were in front of the M, denoting a negative number. but you can’t do two things, subtract and divide, in the same expression (or calculation.) They are two seperate things.

3) You are correct.

1. -6d – 3d = -9d

2. B. M minus divided by W is not an expression. It’s hilarious.

3. Yeah, you’re right.
