T.I.-89 Question, Limits, Piece Wise Functions?

i know how to put limits into the calculator when they are straight out but, not ones like these:

f(x)={3-x, x=/=1}

{1, x=1}

(=/= meaning is not equal to lol)

it says use to graph to find f(x) x->1 for the previus function…

I know the correct answer is “2”. but how do i put it in the calc

I had the same problem with my TI-89.

The manual was utterly useless, in explaining ANYTHING about the calculator, except really basic stuff.

Try these websites:

Good luck in your studies,

the shrink if x -> -3 isn’t a situation – 3 < - 2 so the shrink's fee is a million - 3x + 2x^2 at x = - 3 a million - 3·(-3) + 2·(-3)^2 = 28 yet i assume you needed the shrink as x--> – 2 left lim would desire to be evaluated in accordance to the definition for x < - 2 a million - 3·(-2) + 2·(-2)^2 = 15 top lim with the different section 25 + 3x - x^2 for x = - 2 25 + 3·(-2) - (-2)^2 = 15 as left lim = top lim then the shrink exists and its fee is 15, the value of the function in that x this suggests that the function is non-end at x = - 2
