Both industrial and agricultural workers experienced signifigant change during 1877-1887?

Both industrial and agricultural workers experienced signifigant change during 1877-1887. Discuss three issues that shaped the political, social and economic life of the workers in the so-called Gilded Age of America’s second Industrial Revolution.

Your answer must address, in part, developments in the southern states (i.e. the rise of Birmingham, AL as a result of the steel industry)

This is my question for US history and i have to write 2-3 pages on it. If you feel like answering and helping me out, just one sentence would help me.

One was the wholesale changes in productivity, coupled with the massive influx of immigrant allowed American industry to explode. At the same time, increased farm productivity meant that fewer workers were required to produce the same amount of crops.

Second was the laissez-faire attitude adopted by the Federal government in determining work conditions and wages. Only after outrages such as Triangle Shirtwaist Fire did the Federal government step in to start override state authority, mandating minimum conditions of safety and worker compensation.

The final change was the continued expansion of the country’s rail net, which opened up immense new markets for both agriculature and industry.

do no longer forget limitless amnesty for shepherds, goat herders and dairy workers. We have already got limitless visas for seasonal ag workers – why won’t be in a position to the farmers use them? they only could paintings a hundred days in 4 years to qualify and pay a $250 nice. i think of i improve into an ag worker – i could like a reimbursement of all the income tax i’ve got paid over the final 4 years. call your senator and whinge. I did – besides the indisputable fact that w/ Dick Durbin and Obama, i are conscious of it won’t help. Backbreaking? I baled hay in severe college and school (back whilst they have been bales, and not rolls). I made good money doing it and improve into in great shape. quite a few of my acquaintances have taken over their father and mom farms and be waiting to make it paintings the way their father and mom did – w/ close by young ones for seasonal paintings. working type young ones has a robust factor – the 2d those workers are legally in a position to paintings here – they’re going to go for the better paying jobs, leaving the farmers to locate new unlawful help. And the cycle will proceed.

Today I was in NYC, I take summer classes at an art school in New York, and I saw a man following an old asian woman and her little asian grand daughter I think it was. He followed them for 4 blocks before making his move, I only saw all of this because they were all infront of me walking down E22nd street at the time I was walking down it. Anyways, the man kept getting closer and closer to them until finally he hit the woman with a crowbar and grabbed the girl. I immediately ran up to him as fast as I could and whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I can say that this cab was rare, but I thought “nah, forget it, yo holmes to Bel-Air!”

I pulled up to the house around 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie “yo holmes, smell ya later!” I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.
