Microwave water experiment:

You’ll need identical small mini plants (the kind you can buy for like a quarter–they come in small little 2 inch plastic cups).

Divide stock into 6 groups of 2 each. Place 3 groups in one part of the house, and 3 groups in another. Have one group facing East (unobstructed), and one group facing south (unobstructed).

Microwave water till it boils, let cool to room temp for 1 hour, then water plant 2 times a day at same time. Boil water on stove, let cool for same time, and water at same times. Use plain tap water (same used for the microwave and pot), let sit on counter for same period as microwave water and boiled water. Water one group from each location with the same source of water–identical times.

If you want to add 2 more groups (one in front and one in back), use demineralized water from a specialty water store or buy in auto shop.

Remember, don’t drink the demineralized water.

Make sure you lable your plants, and take a picture every day. Use your results to write a project.
