Science Fair Idea: Is it good or bad?

I was planning to do a science fair project on Drugs vs. Candy…

Witch one would young children get mixed up:

For example: Take a smarty and a tylonal (maybe) and see witch one they would pick. the candy or the drug… I will do this to see if little kids would get the food mixed up with the posin.

My project is do in December, 2007.

Please answer ASAP

I think your intentions are good, but don’t use real tylenol. How about pictures and ask them to point to the drug or candy and list the name on the back of the photo?

The only way that I could see you pulling this off is to have the young children only see photos or video of the pills. You would have to have the photos or video taken under adult AND medical supervision.

The other answerers are completely right. Having the children (that includes you and your schoolmates) anywhere near the medicine is very very bad.

Good Luck

This is definitely not a good idea. Don’t be doing anything like this with young children. You would be taking a terrible risk of a young child putting the medicine in his/her mouth before you could stop them. If they are too young they won’t really understand the concept all they will see is two pieces of candy. Please, please, please, don’t do this.

Bad idea, definitely. No project can put anyone at risk, especially kids! Try something else.
