It started as Black & White. In the 60’s, colored TV’s were introduced. Then came cable (where you paid for a better quality signal but could still receive free signal with a roof antenna). Then satellite signal came along. Again, having to pay for something that started out free. In a year or so, all TV’s will either have to have cable or satellite reception, ending free TV signal forever.

I don’t know how much you have but as a kid I recall our TV as black and white.. It had tubes in it an it had to warm up(that took for ever). Not many channels and when the president was on he was on every one of them or the ones we could get. We only had one TV and you had to get up to change it or turn it on or off. I think they came out sometime in the late to mid 50″s, I’m a 56 vintage myself. So it was not until early 60’s b4 I can remember TV. I recall JFK even seen him get shot along with MLK. Just happened to be home from school also JFK’s younger brother one night, the man on the moon and every night with Walter on Viet Nam.
TV used to be free now we pay for it, what will life bring us next?
