if you’ve taken expos in high school, is it a good idea to just read the summaries of the short stories?

so i got like 5 stories to read and my friend suggested i read the summaries on wikipedia. is it a good idea, i read one story and the summary, and reading the summaries seems like the same thing, what do you suggest?

It’s a better idea to read the stories. Short stories are just that – short. They don’t take that long to read, but there is a wealth of information and detail in them that you won’t get from reading a summary. Much less a wikipedia summary. Wikipedia is made up of stuff that people submit. It isn’t an authority on anything and you’d be wise to stay away from it for any reference work because it contains a lot of errors and misinformation.
