Satire and irony in Huck Finn?

What are some examples of satire and irony in Huck Finn regarding racism? If you could leave the chapter and/or the pg number that would be really helpful.

Wow, we have the exact same assignment this week. Tom’s gang is a good example to use, along with Twain’s sardonic approach on the hypocracy of religion- especially in the beggning where Huck doesn’t understand why the widow chooses to teach him about Moses. Hope that helps!

Have you read the book? There are scores of examples of satire and irony regarding racism. It’s odd how many children’s stories and nursery rhymes are really related to political issues. However, back to Huckleberry — if you read the book, you can note the chapter and page numbers of the examples you find as you go through.

You’ll probably enjoy the story as well — and you’ll be much better informed when you have to write a test on it.
