To have a 90 average over 5 tests, you must score 450 points on the five tests.

If Robert has an 88 average on the first four tests, that means he has scored 352 points so far.

To get to the 450 points necessary to have a 90 average over five tests, Robert must score a 98 on the fifth test.

Answer: 98

Assume each test has 100 points possible.

Robert has taken 4 tests with an average of 88 for a total of (4 x 88 = 352) 352 points out of a possible 400.

After the 5th test he wants to have 90% overall. 5 tests have 500 possible points, 90% of that is 450 points.

He has 352 now and will need 450 to reach his 90% average

450-352 = 98. He needs to score 98 on the fifth test.

to attain an frequently occurring score of ninety in 4 assessments you may have an entire score of 360 (ninety x 4). As so a great way Amanda has an frequently occurring of 88 her score as much as now’s 88 x 3 = 264. She desires 360 so 360 – 264 = ninety six.
