Question about a circle (pre-calculus)…?
This is straight from the book, so it’s kind of a stupid question..
In 2006, the star of Nachang opened as the world’s largest Ferris wheel. It has a maximum height of 160 meters aand a diameter of 153 meters, with one full rotation taking approx. 30 minutes.
Find an equation for the wheel if the center of the wheel is on the y-axis.

x^2 + [y -(160-153)]^2 = (153/2)^2
x^2 + (y -7)^2 = 76.5^2
The rotation speed has nothing to do with the equation. To see if you understand how to work a problem sometimes additional and unneeded information is given.
