Puzzle riddles plz help its my homework?

two barrels each contain the same amount of water the water temperature in one is 49 degrees Fahrenheit while the other is 29 degrees Fahrenheit

two golf balls of the same dimension and weight are droped at the same time from the same height into the barrels

which ball will touch the bottom first ???why ??

The one dropped into the 49 degree will touch the bottom first because the other one is 29 degrees which means that the water would be frozen, therefore the golf ball wouldnt go to the bottom first because it would have to break the ice.

Hmmm if my thinking is correct id say the 29 degrees farenheight because heat rises so it would float down slower because of heat.

I think that the 29 degree will land first, since colder water is thinner (smaller density) until it freezes.

I would think that it would float in hot water.

the golfball in the warmer temperature barrel would reach the bottom first because other barrel is 29F it would be frozen. Freezing temperature is 32F
