For me, a body in motion may have potential energy.

If a ball is moving upward along an incline, it is moving, but it has its potential energy increase time by time….

Same like when we are walking up an incline, we feel laborius as we are moving bacause the kinetic energy is continuously change into potential energy…..

Well when your sitting on a bus, the bus is moving along with your body. Potential energy is when your not moving.

Its a very Fundamental Concept of Physics.

Potential energy depends on what refrence you take.

As one other person said that a person moving in abus , neednot to posesses potential enery , is fundamentally wrong.

he posses some potential energy w.r.t. ground , w.r.t. a level below depth , w.r.t. a level higher than where he is siting ( although -ve in this case).

Go & find it on your own wil b ethe best answer.
