Well, this is supposed to attract people from the 1600’s so what would they be looking for? Mostly, they would likely be poorer people, coming from a city like London, so they would think pictures of lots of land and streams and fields would be attractive. More than they had ever dared hope to own, with lots of fresh water. They would be interested in food sources so show them pictures of “exotic” game like turkey and “exotic” crops like maize (corn). Lots of opportunity for hunters, like beaver, raccoons, deer. They would like to know how they would live, so give them pictures of cozy little log cabins with smoke coming out the chimney. And don’t forget to include smiling pictures of their new neighbors, the helpful Native Americans! Aw, you got an easy one! You can sell this like a bad used car with a coat of Armor All on it!

Try using a picture of open land, suitable for either timber or farming or both. Land for settlement and the establishment of homesteads was a great lure for colonists who relocated to the New World in the 1600-1700s. Heck, we still have some wide open spaces and that still attracts people here from all over the world.

I think the idea of thirteen colonies is great but I also think you should beyond that and the benifits free religion. American was based on free religion, free ways of life, so think about all the things that brought people here. Religion, farming, making their own life, harbors, boat makers, furniture makers, the land given away in different states, and so on, free enterprise
