Please help me with this…I am so lost?
______________________Divided by
2w to the 5th power x to the 5th power
Favorite Answer
Add the exponents in the w and x variables when multiplying, for example x to the 5th power multiplied by x to the 5th power equals x to the 10th power. The coefficients of the variables are simply multiplied normally (the 5 coefficient of w and 6 coefficient of w result in 30)
So the numerator for this problem is:
(30)*(w to the 10th power)*(x to the 10th power)
The denominator can be written:
(2)*(w to the 5th power)*(x to the 5th power)
When dividing, the 30 divided by the 2 is 15
To do the variables, when dividing, subtract the exponent in the denominator from the exponent in the numerator
w to the 10th power divided by w to the 5th power is going to be w to the 5th power.
The x is handled in the same way
The overall solution for this problem will be:
(15)*(w to the fifth power) * (x to the fifth power)
30w^10x^10 / 2w^5x^5 =
15w^5x^5
the answer is 15w^5x^5
