Please Help?

I have a test in an hour, and these are sample questions if you could help I would apprecitate it.

If you can show work so I understand how to this…

1. Graph inequality on a plane

y>x-4

i have to shade a section above or below line made

2. Graph the equation using the slope and y-intercept

y= 5/4x+2

need coordinates to plot line

3. find equation of the line that contains the given

pair of points. (-11,1), (-9,-3)

4. Find the slope and y-intercept of the line

-3x-5y=15

5. Use intercepts to graph the eqaution

-x+4y=8

6. Sarahs investment grew 24% to $310. How much did

she invest?

7. What % of 220 is 44?

8. What 25% of 780?

9. Solve for r.

q+r+i

Y= ——

6

10. -3/7 divided by (-2/3)

(1) Graph the equality, using a dotted line (for strict inequality). Now, pick some point not on the line, such as (0,0). Does this satisfy the inequality? If so, shade the point’s side of the line; if not, shade the other side.

(2) Given y=mx+b, m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

(3) Use the two-point formula for this:

y-y1 = m (x-x1)

where m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(4) Solve for y, apply the slope-intercept form.

(5) Out of time; I hope this gets you going.

If you only have an hour that’s not much 😉

to find y intercept plug in x=0

The slope is that number mulitplied by the x IF it is in this form:

y =mx +c

hence with Q 3)

-5y = 15+3x

y = -3/5 x – 3

slope = -3/5

y-intercept = -3

———-

if you have points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) and need to find eq. of line, plug in the x and y coordinates of each pair

y1 = m x1 + c

y2 = m x2 + c

now solve for m and c
