1. Because the lines are parallel, at any point where they intersect a line they will always form the same angle therefore

ANGLE TNR= ANGLE TIA

7x-20 = 5x+4

Isolate the Variable

7x (-5x) – 20 = 4

2x = 4 (+20)

2x = 24

x=12

Now that you know X, plug it into TNR

7(12) – 20

84-20 = 64, therefore the answer is C None of the Above

2. The two angles are going to be supplementary, meaning they total 180 Degrees, because of the properties of a Transversal intersection that say the angle opposite of the transversal intersection will be equal, and therefore the angle adjacent along the parallel line will be supplementary.

Meaning:

(11x + 16) + (13x – 10) = 180

11x +13x + 16 – 10 = 180

24x +6 =180

24x = 174

x = 7.25 Therefore your answer is B.
