Perimeter of a rectangle. The perimeter of a rectangular backyard is 6x+6 yards. If the width is x yards, find a binomial that represents the length.

first, since this is a rectangular perimeter, then you should know that out of the 6x+6 yards, 2x is alloted for the width because there are two widths in a rectangle. Therefore, anything that is not width is length. Thus, subtract 2x from 6x+6 and you will get 4x+6.
