Please Help!!!!!!?

1. Find the total surface area AND volume of a square based pyramid with a base side length of 80 cm, a slant height of 220 cm and an overall height of 150 cm.

2.Find the total surface area AND volume of a right cylinder with a height of 22 cm and a radius of 8 cm (to one decimal place). (4)

1. volume = 1/3 * height * side length ^2

= 1/3 * 150 * 80^2

= 320,000 cm^3

total surface area = bottom square area + 4 x triangle area

bottom square area = 80 * 80 = 1600 cm^2

triangle area = 1/2 * side length * triangle height

triangle height = sqrt (220^2 – (80/2)^2)

= sqrt (48400 -1600)

= sqrt 46800

=216.33

triangle area = 1/2 * 80 * 216.33

= 8653.2

total surface area = bottom square area + 4 x triangle area

= 1600 + 4 * 8653.2

= 36212.8 cm^2

2. right cylinder volume = circle area * cylinder height

circle area = (phi) * r^2

= 3.1416 * 8^2

= 201.06 cm^2

right cylinder volume = circle area * cylinder height

= 201.06 * 22

= 4423.4 cm^3

total right cylinder surface area = 2 * circle area + (cyl height * cyl round)

= 2 * (phi)*8^2 + (22 * 2*(phi)*8)

= 402.12 + 1105.84

= 1507.96 cm^2

~ 1508 cm^2
