Parasitism is when an organism highly depends on another organism in order to live and survive. However, the parasite benefits a lot from the host, oftentimes depriving it food and nutrients-harming its survival.
examples:
1. pinworms in children’s intestines: kids infested with pinworms are often weak, lacks appetite and passive.
2. lice- people and dogs often are at risk of lice especially when they are not bathed well or has poor hygiene. lice thrives in the moistened scalp and skin and transfers eggs through itching and scratching.

parasitism is where one living thing benefits and the other is harmed… for example, rafflesia plant and the tree bark. rafflesia sucks up all the nutrients and stuff from the tree it dwells.
search for it on yahoo. i did a research bout it once, got loads of info… good luck!
