The climax is the part where you’re on the edge of your seat. In “Pirates…” (and a lot of stories) that means a showdown with the antagonist. So when you watch the movie, when does that happen?

If you find that, then you have the rising action, because the rising action is what happens to lead up to the climax.

The falling action is the opposite– it comes after the climax, when everything is turning happy again.

The resolution is what happens at the end, when the conflict is solved.

Conflict– think about why the showdown happens/ why they disagree. Also, think about why the people of Port Royal are against Jack.

Symbolism is a broad topic. What about the mark on Jack’s arm, and what it means? Or what the Black Pearl means, in the stories people tell about it. Symbolism just refers to what an object or person is supposed to mean in the movie. You could probably go on and on with that.

The only thing I can’t help you with is Exposition. In literature, it generally means telling… so, how the movie unfolds and why? I’m not sure about that one. I hope I’ve helped some.
