Parlez-vous Francais? I NEED HELP!!!?
I’m in a HUGE mess…. I’m going to be a Freshman in September and I’m taking Academic French as a core class! The problem is…. I’M NOT READY FOR IT! I do know a little bit, but I’ve only taken French for 1 1/2 yrs (it seems like a lot, but I didn’t learn a thing) and I just barely got a 60-something percentage! My teacher told everyone in the class that we are ALL knowledgeable enough to be in Academic classes and not the dumb ones this yr at high school, but maybe she forgot that everyone in the class has had more French experiance than me…? What’s worse is that I already checked if I can change my schedule, but it’s too late! I’m booked for the most hard French classes ever! So now I have to learn the basics of french and how to make sentances in all these forms and stuff in 3 wks!!! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE OR CAN HELP ME OUT IN ANY WAY?IF U KNOW HOW TO SPEAK FRENCH? OR KNOW A GOOD WEBSITE(S)? EVERY REPLY WILL BE APPRECIATED!! I DON’T WANT TO FAIL =”(

Get yourself an inexpensive french program on CD to start just to see what you DO know, or get yourself them teach yourself French book, cassette/CD combinations at your nearest bookstore….then tackle the grammar part of it.
Depending on what part of Canada, if in the province of Quebec, find yourself a similar aged friend that speaks french, and practice, practice, practice!!!!

Have you ever heard of the Berlitz method of learning languages?? This company has been in business for about 128 years and can teach any language to anybody. They have 450 centers in 60 countries (www.berlitz.com).
www.berlitz.ca is their center in Canada.
www.languagequest.com has 6 audio CD’s, a 128-page course book, and a coupon ($40 value) for a free lesson for $29.95.
You also might check with your local public library and see if they have these CD’s available along with the course book. I’ve heard you can put these cd’s/tapes in a portable walkman-type machine, and put them on before you go to bed. As you sleep, the lessons repeat over and over so you can pick up the language sooner than normal.

geeze woman calm down lol I’ve been living in Montreal, Quebec Canada and I’ve known french all my life- i havebt really practiced it in like a year but still if u ask me certain questions i can try to help…. i dunno what else to tell u but buy a french/english dictionary or watch tv shows in french… what part of canada do u live in by the way ?
