Newton’s Law of Cooling MATH QUESTION plz HELP!!!?
How long does it take each container to lower the coffee temperature from 200 F to 130 F?
can u show me the steps? plz

x be the temperature of the coffee at time t,
h be the fixed temperature of its surroundings,
x0 be the value of x when t = 0,
and
k be a positive constant.
Then:
dx / dt = – k(x – h)
dx / (x – h) = -k dt
Integrating:
int (x0 to x) dx / (x – h) = -k int (0 to t) dt
[ log(x – h) ] (from x0 to x) = – k[ t ] (from 0 to t)
log(x – h) – log(x0 – h) = -k(t – 0)
log[ (x – h) / (x0 – h) ] = -kt
Using the first set of figures this gives:
log[ (200 – 70) / (100 – 70) ] = -30k
log(130 / 30) = -30k
k = – log(130 / 30) / 30 …(1)
If t is the time for the second set of figures, then:
log[ (200 – 70) / (130 – 70) ] = -tk
log(130 / 60) = -tk
t = – log(130 / 60) / k …(2)
Substituting for k from (1) in (2):
t = 30 log(13/6) / log(13/3)
= 15.82min.
