My students are reading The Devil and Tom Walker?

after they read the story I would like to show the movie.But I cannot find the movie at any Blockbuster.DOes anyone know of another movie that is quite similar to “The Devil and Tom Walker,’ that i may show.I’m also looking to rent not buy if possible.

If everyone has read it, then you might be able to set up a trivia game where you put the class into groups and then ask questions about the story. If you teacher has a smartboard you could use a template to make jeopardy, or just make a powerpoint that has questions. Since this story has a major archetype in it (selling ones soul to the devil for personal gain) you could hand out a list of other stories, plays, movies that also have archetypes and let the class find them. You could just stick to having them list others works they’ve read or seen that has a similar archetype as The Devil and Tom Walker.
