It should be 7<12 7 is less than 12 you can remember this because an alligator always wants to eat the bigger number. So the open side faces the bigger number (pretend it is the alligator's open mouth.)

it should be 7<12 let me give you a really easy way to remember it. the < sign looks like an L if you rotate it, and it means less than. so 7 is less than 12 i hope this helps! good luck!
