If I paid $64.34 for a new bag during a 30% off sale, what would the regular price be?

Consider this:

$64.34 is 70% of the regular price (R.P.) so,

$64.43/70 = 1% of the R.P., so

100 x $64.34/70 = 100% of R.P.

I hope that you can work that bit out on your own, Twiggy.

i do not think it is $83.64 because 30% of $64.34

is not 30% of the original price. i tried the equation

x(original price) – 0.3x(discount)= $64.34(price you paid). Try it and see what you get. i dont know if my answer is right but i got $73.53

$83.64. Just multiply the sell price (64.34) by the discount(30%) and add that answer to the 64.34..and u should get 83.64!
