G(x)= X-3

H(x)=X(SQUARE)

Heres the sum (evaluate)

a) fg (4)

b) gf (7)

c)gh (-3)

I’m assuming fg(4) means f(g(4)). If so then use g(4) as the variable for f(x): g(4) = 1, and f(1) = 2. In general, f(g(x)) = 2(x-3) = 2x -3.

Here’s one more: g(h(x)) = x^2 – 3, so g(h(-3)) = 6.

For the three finctions it’s just successive applications as above: e.g., f(g(f(x))) = 2((2x – 3)) = 4x – 6. I’ll leave the rest to you!
