Kinematics problems…plz explain with steps.?

Q1) A body is displaced through 10 cm by a force of 50N in a direction making an angle of 60 degrees with the force. calculate the work done by the force. (ans is 250J)

Q2) A body is projected such that KE at the top is 3/4th KE at the point of projection. What is the angle of projection?

Q3) A person is standing on a truck moving with a constant velocity of 14.7m/s on a horizontal road, throws a ball in such a way that it returns to his hand after the truck has moved 58.8m. Find the speed and angle of projection:

a) as seen from the truck (ans is 19.6m/s upwards)

b) as seen from the road (ans is 24.5m/s at 56 degrees 3 min

with the horizontal)

Work = Force x distance

Work = 50N x (10 cm * cos 60 degs)

= 50N x (10 cm * 1/2)

= 50N x (5 cm)

= 250 N-cm *** Note: “N-m” is a Joule, not N-cm ***

= 2.50 N-m

= 2.50 J
