Is “discrimination” an abstract noun?

I have to write a report on an abstract noun, and I want to write about discrimination. However, I don’t know if it is an abstract noun. Please help.

Yes. An abstract noun names an idea, quality, or characteristic. Discrimination is an idea.

It has been said that the word poetry is concrete: poetry itself is abstract. I should think that the same thing applies to discrimination. Have you been given a definition (of abstract noun)? There isn’t one in Webster’s Dictionary.

It depends what you mean by “God.” If you believe “God” is an actual dude with a long beard throwing lightning bolts (or basically that he is a being), then “God” is a concrete noun. But if you use the word “God” to refer to like an…essence, for lack of a better word, then it is an abstract noun. edited, realized i had mistyped lol
