I guess it was kind of a premonition. Piggy knows he is weak, not very popular, and can’t see very well. He is just assuming that Ralph has better survival skills than he does.

…I can’t really remember the rest of the text that surrounds this exerpt, so this is only a guess.

Simon represents a character that is a “Visionary.” This is important because visionaries see things in ways that other characters can not. Simon is later killed, because he becomes the scapegoat for the boys’ fears. Simon gives an important clue, or what we call “foreshadowing”, in English Literature. “You” will get back alright, but the boys are going to kill me. He is foreshadowing his own death.

i would imagine that he was telling him that “he” would get back all right….

unless you put a whole exerpt from the book, we’ll never know, will we? why is “you” in quotation marks?
