What’s FOIL?
At any rate, the “3” is the exponent of the variable “y”. It is not to the multiplied by “w”.
For clarity, you may space the terms this way:
(5y^3 w^2 + z)(2y^3 w^2 + 3z)
Better? Now multiply the terms. You’ll get
10y^6 w^4 + 17y^3 w^2 z + 3z^2
