I read this story in like 10th grade and my memory is a bit fuzzy , but here goes…
The point of the story is that the villain had hunt all of the most “elusive” animals (game) in the world. He found all of these to be a disappointment so he decided that the only type of hunt that would thrill him was a hunt for something with the same cunning and intelligence as him. Therefore, he hunted humans. He would hunt them and put their heads in his hall as trophies. In the end, the main character outsmarts the villain and ends up defeating him in a swordfight.

Ah I remember reading that in freshman english…I loved it. It’s basically about a society that can go back in time but they have to stay on a certian path, otherwise the whole world could change, even if it is just stepping on a leaf. So this one guy goes back and accidentally goes off the path and steps on a butterfly. I think his group gets attacked by a dinosaur or something? I don’t remember. Well, when he goes back to the present everything is different and there is a different language and people are hostile just because he stepped on that one butterfly.

I believe it is about an insane hunter who arranges for a ship to wreck on an island. where he can indulge in some sort of hunting and killing of pssengers, As it ends, he becomes the hunted. The story is suppose to show how it is for a person to see what hunting for the sport is like.

I had to do this Sophmore year. The main gist is that the man wanted to hunt people, not animals since he was so skilled. In the end the man sneaks into his room and kills him. I’m going off the top of my head so sorry it’s vague.
