I need help with my physics homework guys. I don’t understand these kind of problems?

1. A unifrom electric field with a magnitude of 250 N/C is directed in the positive x direction. A 12 C charge moves from the origin to the point ( 20.0 cm , 50 .0 cm). What is the change in the lectrical potential energy of the system as a result of the change in position of this charge?

2. What is the chage in the electrical potential energy in a lighting bolt of 35 C of charge travel to the ground from a cloud 2.0 Km above the ground in the direction of the field? Assume the electric field is unform and has a magnitude of 1.0 * 10 ^ 6 N/C.

The query is not sensible … and so does the reply. You have three variables within the equation: F, m and a. Without taking any dimension you don’t have any suggestion of ways a lot drive is being exerted: you don’t that is the bigger mass, what a is or what F is (take into account, no measurements). That’s why the query is not sensible. Mas isn’t in direct percentage to the drive. The mass of an item is NOT a position of the drive you follow to it: that is simple normal feel, you aren’t getting fats considering a drive is carried out to you. The acceleration a is proportional to the drive: for a given item, which has a given and unchanging mass, to get extra acceleration you want extra drive. That’s why the reply is not sensible.
