j(x)=5-x , and then j(3)= 5-3=2

because just f(j(3)) when f(x) = -3x+2

f(j(3))=f(2)=-3*2+2=-4

Look at the first part: f(j(3)) when…..f(x)…..and j(x)……

The first part is f(j(x)). So when you actually put j(x) in f(x) it looks like this:

f(j(x))= -3(5-x)+2

notice the first part again: f(j(3))….they have a 3 when the x goes….so x=3. Sub for x:

f(j(3))= -3(5-3)+2

= -3(2) + 2

= -6 +2

= -4
