The difference between two numbers means that you subtract. If there is nothing more to the question, there is one way you can find out, by trying different numbers.

So let’s write it out and see if it always works.

Let’s use some random numbers, -2 and -3.

-2 – (-3) = 1

Well, it worked there. So you might be inclined to say it always works, but let’s try another one to be sure.

How about -4 and -2?

-4 – (-2) = -2

Hmm, that didn’t work. Since it didn’t work in all of our examples, the answer must be “sometimes true”…

May God bless you.

Its 91. Take 22 from 160 = 138. Divide by two = 69. Add 22 to 69 = 91. So the 2 numbers are 91 and 69. Easy peasy.

Draw a triangle and draw a negative sign at the two lower corners – and one positive + sign at the top corner so that each point has an individual sign. Now, when you have a math problem, cover up the signs used in the equation, and whichever sign is left, is your answer, for ex. -2 x -1 = 2 because you covered up both negative signs..it only works for x, /.

Two negatives always equal a positive. If you are adding or subtracting with signs, the sign will always be whatever number is larger.

Sometimes

-9 – (-10) = 1 which is positive but let’s say we have -10 – (-9) = -1 which is negative

It’s to deal wit the rules.

If both #s are negative, its positive. (-4 minus -2=2)

If both #s are positive, the answer is postive. (4+4=8)

If one is negative and one is positive, it is negative. (-5 minus 4= -1)

so in your case, its positive.

never. -6-5=-11…if you mean the difference between the numbers (like there’s one between -6 & -5, then always)

1st neg. number < 2nd neg. number = positive number 1st neg. number > 2nd neg. number = negative number
