to solve for x you need to have two equations since you have two variables.

but if you do not have one, then x is:

x = (y – 3) / 2

I dont know what all the is, but x can be any real number. You need to solve for Y in this equation. Its on the opposite side of the equals sign. Input numbers for X starting with -2, -1,0,1,2,3 and then calculate. That will give you the y value for each x value. Then you make a table.For instance when x=1 Y=5

You have 2 variables in this case, x and y, so you won’t get a solid number for either of them. Instead, you’ll have to solve for x in terms of y.

y=2x+3

y-3=2x………Move 3 to the other side of =

(y-3)/2=x……….Divide both sides by 2.

x=(y-3)/2

i am good at math,so you can ask me more about this.

y = 2x + 3

2x = 3-y

x = (3-y)/2

tips: do not change “y”,using it just as a symbol.
