How difficult it is to get into a good university depends on how you define good and how well you have done in high school.

Below you will find some hints about studying well and studying smarter.

1. Have all of your materials ready and in the place that you are going to study.

3. Study when its quiet. No music, no TV, No headphones, no nothing.

4. Do your most difficult subject fist or else you may never get to it.

5. Keep a calendar so that you know when a project is due or a test is going to be given.

6. Vocabulary is very important. Words have different meanings. You need to know the meaning for the subject that you are taking.

7. Study the relationship of things. How is the topic that you studied related to the unit that you are studying?

8. Your textbook has hints for you. Many books have important words or phrases in darkened or colored type, make sure that you know them thoroughly.

You need to put some effort in, though if you have 2 years that is great . Just study and get good grades, and do some extra activities, join this club or that , if you are on a sports team great , try and excel in that as well.Basically all the top colleges not only want the good grades, they are looking for well rounded students. not just a book worm type. though still, tell your parents that you want to take a SAT prep course. It saves tons of time and stress when it comes to taking the sats! plus your scores will be better than if you didn’t take the course! And a better SAT score if ALWAYS helpful! (so take the course and take the sats once! instead of taking the sats, then taking the course and then taking the sats again. that is just wasting time. The more things that bring light to your personality the better! like editor or photographer for your yearbook, varsity tennis, or physics club, french club, or whatever your interests are! Also try and decide what colleges or universities you want to aim for. then find someone ( a friend of a parent, or a parent of a friend or a teacher or WHOEVER find someone who went to the school that you want to attend, and have them write a letter of recomendation when the time comes to apply. If you do all those things, you will be able to pick the school of your choice! : )
