A monologue is one person speaking about something they usually are passionate about. Pick a subject you are into and write your own thoughts as a character.

The way I did mine was I got into the character and wrote it as if I were telling my story to someone else, or writing in a journal.

One I did was from the point of view of a 6 year old who was lost in the mall…so it was just what was going through that child’s mind at that time

kind of like a soliloquay in a shakesperean play

Write something that you are interested about or if your intersted in a comedy write it. Or about an important issue like drugs or abusing. I would prefer a comedy but I’m better at writing about important issues.

I’m surprised that no one else has answered this yet!

OK, take it from someone who has gotten in front of lots of people and done skits (I’m a geeky Trekkie, and good at it!)

First, just write down about what you know, something interesting that will not put them to sleep.

You can make it funny, you can make it intrigueing, heck, you can take your favorite thing and talk about it.

just make it interesting, that’s all.
