HomeWork HELP again…Evaluate the folowing function for f(x) =x^2+7 and g(x) = 5x+10 algebraically. (f+g)(-5)

please explain. go step by step. the answer is 17 but I don’t know how to get this??thanks

Hey! ok, firstly, you substitute -5 into both equations. for the first one f(x) you wil get 25+7 = 32. then into g(x) you will get -25+10=-15. then you add them = -15 + 32 and voila you get 17! 😀
