Fraction to decimal: you divide the top number by the bottom number, or easier “Top dog in the house” EX. 3/6, you put three “in the box” & divide. 3 divided by 6, since three is smaller you have to put a decimal 0 after it: 3.0 or however many 0’s you need to make it equal.

A decimal to fraction: you put the decimal as the numerator & the place value as the denominator. EX: .96 equals 96/100 or .7 equals 7/10 or .546 equals 546/1000, then you must reduce these numbers! Hope this helps!

To turn a decimal to fraction, divide the fraction by the place value. (tens, hundreds, thousands, etc.) ex. 0.5 is five tenths, so divide 5 by 10, or 5/10 which ca be simplified to 1/2.
to get a decimal as a fraction, just take the numbers after the decimal and put ten, one hundred, whatever under them. (example: if the last number is in the 1000 place, put it over 1000 and simplify)
