How do you solve split functions?
f(x)={2x+1, x<0
{2x+2, x> or = 0
(use f(2) as an example )
i wanna know how and the steps so list them =]
also how do u find if this is a function I y I = 4 – x (that says the absolute value of y)

Well, split functions are actually really easy, its just giving you 2 functions, and you use one of them depending on which one qualifies. In this example, you’re given one function to use only if x is less than 0. If x is greater then or equal to 0, then you use the other one. So, for f(2), since 2 is greater than 0, you use 2x + 2 and get 6.
