how do you do this algebra?

1. -10 = 1/2x + x

2. 12(2 – x) = 6

3. 6 = 3/2x + 1/2(x – 4)

4. 55x – 3(9x + 12) = -64

5. 4/9(2x – 4) = 48

1. -10 = 1/2x + x

-10*2 = 1/2x* 2 + x* 2

-20 = x + 2x

3x = -20

3x/3 = -20/3

x = -20/3 = -6/2/3 = -6.666666667

2. 12(2-x) = 6

12*2 -12*x = 6

24 – 12x = 6

24 -12x-24 = 6-24

-12x = -18

-12x/-12 = -18/-12

x = 18/12

x = 3/2 = 1/1/2 = 1.5

3. 6 = 3/2x + 1/2(x-4)

6*2 = 3/2x* 2 + 1/2(x-4)*2

12 = 3x + x-4

4x-4 = 12

4x-4+4 = 12+4

4x = 16

4x/4 = 16/4

x = 4

4. 55x – 3(9x+12) = -64

55x- 3*9x -3*12 = -64

55x – 27x – 36 = -64

28x-36 = -64

28x-36+36 = -64+36

28x = -28

28x/ 28 = -28/28

x = -1

5. 4/9(2x-4) = 48

4/9(2x-4) * 9 = 48* 9

4(2x-4) =432

4(2x – 4)/4 = 432/4

2x-4 = 108

2x-4+ 4 = 108+4

2x = 112

2x/2 = 112/2

x = 56

With this simple algebra, you just need to get the x on one side, and everything else on the other, then solve.

First example:

-10 = 1/2 x + x

2(-10) = 2(1/2 x + x)

-20 = x + 2x

-20 = 3x

-20/3 = 3x/3

-6.6666…. = x

1. -10=x/2+x 2. 12(2-x)=6

24-12x=6

-5=2x -12x=6-24=-18

x=-5/2=-2.5 12x=18.now x =18/12=1.5

3. 6=3/2x+1/2(x-4)__ 6=3x/2+x/2-4/2 x=1ans

REST U DO AS ILLUSTRATION

1) -10=1/2x+x

-10=1 1/2x

-10 divied by 1 1/2 is x= -10 over 1 1/2

2)12(2-X)=6

24-12X=6

-24 -24

-12X=-18

-18 DIVED BY -12 is x= 1.5

1:

-10=1/2x+x

take lcm on right hand side

-10=3/2x

crossmultiply 2 to left handside

-20=3x

divide both sides by 3

x=-20/3

2:

12(2-x)=6

divide by 6 on both sides

2(2-x)=1

4-2x=1

subtract 1 from both sides

3=2x

x=3/2

3:

3/2x+1/2x-2=6

add 2 on both sides

3/2x+1/2x=8

take lcm on left hand side

2x=8

x=4

4:

55x-27x-48=-64

add 48 on both sides

28x=-16

x=-4/7

5:

4/9(2x-4)=48

divide both sides by 4

1/9(2x-4)=12

multiply 9 on both sides

2x-4=144

add 4 on both sides

2x=148

x=74

For increasing cubic binomials the conventional formula is as follows: (a + b) ^ 3 = a^3 + 3*a^2*b^a million + 3*a^a million*b^2 + b^3 on your case, a is x and b is -y^5 So (x – y^5)^3 = x^3 + 3*x^2*(-y^5)^a million + 3*x^a million*(-y^5)^2 + (-y^5)^3 Simplified: =x^3 – 3x^2*y^5 + 3x*y^10 – y^15 😀

1) u just need to put all da x(s) at da same side.

-10 = 0.5x + x

-10= 1.5x

-10/1.5 =x

x = -6.67 (3sf)

2)

12(2-x) =6

2-x = 6/12

2-x = 0.5

-x = 0.5-2

-x = -1.5

x=1.5

using da same method, u can solve da rest of da question easily!

1. -10= 0.5x+x

-10=1.5x

-10/1.5=x

x= -20/3

3. 6= 1.5x + 0.5 ( x-4)

6= 1.5x+ 0.5x- 2

8= 2x

x=4

you get X on a side by itself

1. x = 6.67

2. x = 1.5

i don’t feel like solving the rest.. basically (so u’ll know how to do it on ur own).. u combine like terms, multiply, divide, add, or subtract from both sides til u get X on a side by itself and divide each side by it’s coefficient
