How do you conjugate ‘excomulgar’?
I need to say “the church excommunicated him” in Spanish.
I have the verb, ‘excomulgar’ (to excommunicate), but I don’t know how to change it to ‘it excommunicated’.
Is it just ‘excomulgó’, or is it stem-changing (‘excumuelgó’)?
Please help!

“Excomulgar” is a regular verb that does not change its stem, so your first answer is correct.
