Postdoctoral Position in cardiovascular microRNAs

Description:

Research on roles of microRNAs in cardiovascular stem cell differentiation and cardiac wounding/healing. Functional assays will be combined with miRNA target identification using biochemical approaches. Novel treatment strategies, including transplantation of genetically modified progenitor cells, will be developed and optimized to improve cardiac healing processes. As an applicant you should be interested to work in a highly motivated team. A PhD in Biological Sciences is required with experience in Molecular Biology preferred.

Under scientific and administrative direction, incumbent carries out independent research, conceives, designs, plans, and implements advanced studies aimed at achieving research goals related to process development and production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Conducts and performs complex research work of a broadly defined nature which requires innovation, creativity, and self-initiative. Provides scientific contribution to research programs of major importance to the Research Division. Recognized within the company for his/her expertise in a specific scientific discipline. Provides technical direction to associate scientists and Ph.D. level staff in carrying out their laboratory experiments.

Engineering Associate

Under specific and administrative direction incumbent carries out independent research, designs, plans, and implements advanced studies aimed at achieving research goals. Conducts and performs complex research work of a broadly defined nature which requires innovation, creativity and self-initiative of major importance to the Research Division. Provides scientific contribution to research programs of major importance to the Research Division.

Recognized within the company for his/her expertise in a specific scientific discipline. Provides technical direction to associate scientists and Ph.D. level staff in carrying out their laboratory experiments.
