Math is not my best subject. Please help me solve the value of ‘r’ in this equation.
40000= 13000/ (1+r%) + 8000/ (1+r%)raised to 2 + 14000/ (1+r%)raised to 3 + 12000/ (1+r%)raised to 4 + 11000/ (1+r%)raised to 5 + 15000/ (1+r%)raised to 6
Note: only (1+r%) is raised to ‘n’

Use a graphing calculator – enter the (1+r%) as x then solve for x and subtract 1 from it to save typing.
