not a hard question at all.
as CO2 is drawn into the plant cell membrane, the chloroplasts use the sunlight (photosynthesis) to break down the carbon and the oxygen molecules., The carbon is used by the plant for nutrition and the oxygen is excreted back out through the cell walls and out into the air.
Plants dont take in oxygen, they give it off,

Plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, the process is called photosynthesis, they use the energy of the sun to transform the carbon dioxide in the air to oxygen, it ultimately becomes sugars which the plant uses as food.

All I know is that plants do not take in oxygen. They take in carbon dioxide, and emit oxygen in it’s place. This process is called photosynthesis.
