How do photographers help the world?
I am doing an American History essay and my teacher required that i get information on how photographers help the world and myself.

they are the eyes of the worlds history. everyone who takes a picture records a point in time of our planets existance. the item in the picture be it people, landscapes, buildings, animals, weather, etc… all capture an important piece of history. quality is not important especially dealing with older pics and vids. pearl harbor attack pics are very important and many were taken by everyday people, not professional photogs.
scientists take great event pics that may be fantastic to look at today, but may become learning tools in the future. disaster pics such as the frisco quakes, hurricanes katrina and others, all deal with life on earth. plight photos in africa and 3rd world struggles become lessons learned. i am not a photog but respect them for their work and preservation of life on our planet and beyond,
most importantly photos save events and actions that might be lost and/or forgotten without them.
