how do i find out if its on the line?
I found all the distances to be 2 root 5, root 5, and root 13. But how do i find out if they’re on the same line without graphing? I did graph and they dont appear to be on the same line at all, and neither do the points in any of the other questions in the section… so what am i doing wrong?

so distance formula is sqrt[ (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2 ] right?
if they lie on the same line… ratio of y2-y1 : x2-x1 should be equal for all lines…
you’re gonna think that I am using the slope formula, but seriously, if you look at the distance formula, it’s already there…
the instructions say to USE the distance formula, not the ANSWER you get using the distance formula
hope thats what youre looking for 🙂
