How can you explain why the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic always work?

My teacher needs an answer for this problem and i don’t know the answer. So please help me.

You want “Euclid’s proof,” worked out by Euclid of Alexandria around 300 BC, which proves that there cannot be a positive integer, except 1, that is not the product of primes. See link for a discussion.
