Hrm, I’ll guess. Marie Curie and her Husband Pierre discover polonium and radium. She then died from exposure of too much radium ( she work with x rays) which now doctors identify it has leukemia. That improve them to use the radium that burn the skin to use it to kill cancer cells in patients suffering from the disease.
