HELPwith COMMAS AND PUNcuation!!! plz “THE END OF SOMETHING?

In Hemingway’s “The End of Something” he uses symbolism to show what the characters emotions are. He does this by using metaphors and giving the characters actions and body language a second meaning. There are several occasions where this is seen through out the story.

The first instance where I noticed this was in the description of Horton Bays Lumbering Town. Hemingway described what used to be a striving and busy town but soon became what was now a ghost town, all of it destroyed, forgotten and abandoned now. Much like what was to come for Nick and Marjorie’s love relationship. The parallel was between the town and the relationship, what this shows is that even if something seems fine it can fall apart in an instant.

Another example of symbolism is on page 86 where it says: “Ten years later there was nothing of the mill except the broken white limestone of its foundation showing through the swampy second growth as Nick and Marjorie rowed along the shore.” THE REST DIDNT FIT =[
